Friday, December 15th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Well, despite announcing they were picking up six more episodes of the low-rated game show just last week, ABC has now announced that they don’t want those six episodes anymore.

ABC has decided to shut down production and pull the plug on the six additional episodes it recently ordered of the William Shatner-hosted game show, Show Me The Money.

ABC confirmed Friday morning it currently has seven more episodes of the show already in the can, and as of now plans on finishing that run and airing those episodes through January, but has decided against the additional order.

Low rated Show Me The Money picked up for six more episodes

Surprisingly comes news that ABC has decided to pick up an additional six episodes of the William Shatner game show Show Me The Money, which start airing in January 2007. The show hasn’t been a ratings hit, but perhaps they needed something that wasn’t a downright bomb for the slot.

The game show will also move to a new time slot, airing Tuesdays at 8pm, starting on January 2nd. This is the time slot formerly occupied by Dancing with the Stars. Perhaps the additional 6 episodes were simply to fill a gap before the next season of Dancing With the Stars airs in February.

We told you about William Shatner’s new game show, Show Me The Money. Well, ABC has given the new show a timeslot.

The show will premiere Wednesday, November 22 at 8pm.

So we know contestants need to answer trivia questions correctly. But get this, when they do, they get to pick scrolls with hidden dollar amounts… which are being held by dancers AKA Million Dollar Dancers! I can only imagine how much (or how little) these dancers will be wearing! And with Shatner, I am envisioning Vegas style headresses.

Heaven help us!

Show Me the Money is a brand new ABC game show that will be hosted by Boston Legal star William Shatner.

Contestants answer trivia questions for the chance to win millions while also facing the risk of losing everything they have accumulated. ABC has ordered seven one-hour episodes.

Sounds very Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-esque.
